INTRO TO GLASS SAND CASTING 

4 -HR 

This workshop takes place in the studio of sculptor Mitchell Gaudet where he will quickly introduce you to the FUN of glass casting.

*Basic Glass Hot Shop lesson, Glass casting process,

Class Details: Classes are on Saturdays, from 10-2 pm.

Cost is $100 for 4-hour course (instruction fee, shop and materials fees are all included).   Six students max.

No experience or prerequisites required.

The workshop is open to the public and for those who are interested in learning the basics of the process of glass casting and sculpture. 

Classes are project-based workshops demonstrating hot glass skills.

Glass-

Sculptor Mitchell Gaudet will introduce you to his process of sand casting glass in his hot shop. In this overview you will learn studio and personal safety.

Requirements:

*Interest in having a fun time learning the basic skills of cast hot glass in sand molds.

*You should not be uneasy around power tools and sparks.

* Wear long sleeves and long pants made of 100% cotton and leather boots.  Don’t forget to bring your reading glasses and a bandana/ hair tie for your hair. tie for your hair.
